State police seek public’s help identify remains of woman found along railroad tracks

The New Jersey State Police are hoping that members of the public can help them identify the remains of a woman whose body was found along railroad tracks in Elizabeth earlier this year.
Police say that the body of an unidentified woman was found alongside the tracks near the 300 block of Port Avenue on June 11.
Investigators say that the woman was Black or Hispanic, approximately 25-35 years old with a slender build. She was estimated to be 5’6” and weighed 125-140 pounds. She had double piercings in both ears, short hair and may have worn a wig or other head covering, according to investigators.
Authorities say that they are also trying to identify a vehicle of interest in the investigation. It appears to be a light-colored 2000-2006 Toyota Highlander with brightly polished rims and a roof rack.
Anyone who might have information about this case is asked to call Detective Angela Concepcion of the Union County Prosecutor's Office at 908-341-5416 or New Jersey State Police Detective Aileen Clowes at 609-960-6960.
