State police: Box truck strikes disabled vehicle on turnpike; 1 dead, 2 injured

The driver of a disabled vehicle on the side of the New Jersey Turnpike suffered fatal injuries Friday night after his vehicle was struck by a box truck.

The driver of a disabled vehicle on the side of the New Jersey Turnpike suffered fatal injuries Friday night after his vehicle was struck by a box truck.
According to state police, a Nissan Altima had a tire blowout around 10:36 p.m. and was disabled in shoulder of the left lane in Carneys Point.
A box truck traveling in the left lane then struck the vehicle, killing Garret Christino, 22, of Hightstown.
State police say the driver and passenger in the box truck sustained minor injuries.
There was no word about any arrests as police continue to investigate the incident.
