State police say one person was killed after he was hit on the Garden State Parkway in Dover Township, Ocean County.

State police say one person was killed after he was hit on the Garden State Parkway in Dover Township, Ocean County.
According to state police, William Swenson, 55, of Beachwood, was walking in the travel lanes on the southbound side when he was hit.
State police say the driver stayed at the scene.
