Residents of a Stamford condo complex on Greenwich Avenue say they were forced out of their homes Friday night.

A woman who says her grandmother lives in the building tells News 12 the city is forcing the resident out immediately over safety concerns.

These concerns follow an apparent deck collapse in the back of the building.

Fire officials say the entire complex does not need to evacuated, only the units that are affected. Officials on scene spoke to those residents about temporary housing options.

The road leading to the complex was closed but has reopened.

It's not clear what led to the collapse.
