A house fire in Morris Township killed a couple in their mid-80s.
The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office says the fire started just before 3 a.m. at the home on Normandy Heights Road. It claimed the lives of Robert and Gemma Ricciardi.
Only two chimneys remained after firefighters extinguished the fire.
A neighbor told News 12 New Jersey what she saw.
“I came downstairs. I was going to call 911, then I saw some flashlights and I heard the cops calling out to see if anybody was home and knocking on doors,” says Tisha Giangiordano.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
