Filming has wrapped in New Jersey for the prequel film to HBO’s hit series “The Sopranos.”
Crews were out on Essex Street in Paterson just behind the post office filming scenes for “The Many Saints of Newark.” The movie is set during the Newark riots in the 1960s.
The film stars Newark native Ray Liotta. Michael Gandolfini plays a young version of Tony Soprano – a role made famous by his father James Gandolfini.
The film is scheduled to be released in 2020.
