A man is behind bars in Bloomfield this morning accused of scamming a victim out of $35,000.
Police say 26-year-old Mahir Patel of Somerset called the victim pretending to be from Capital One.
He allegedly convinced the victim to meet with a fake representative from the Federal Trade Commission to hand over the cash.
