After complaints by some cyclists, Jersey City is making changes to bike lanes there.
The bike lanes on some one-way streets have been moved to the left side instead of the right.
The city says bike lanes will not be on the same side of every one-way street, but will be designated street by street depending on which side is safer.
Cyclists had complained that there is a higher risk of being struck by a car door when the lanes are on the right side of the road.
