A new solar project is coming to Union County that is expected to lower the electric bill for hundreds of families.
Officials say that the Union Township project could save 600 families up to $900 on their energy bills.
It comes amid rising utility costs around the state.
“It is programs like this that help local residents, especially low- to moderate-income families, save some…much-needed dollars,” says Petra Gaskins, chief of staff to state Sen. Joseph Cryan.
Total savings from the project are expected to total close to $20 million.
