The Neptune Township Committee has been asked to address the displaying of flags that show residents' sexual orientation.

A Sharks River Township resident is seeking the committee's standing on those who fly the flags in a 'family oriented neighborhood.' In a letter to the committee, the author says he is not only referring to homosexual rainbow banners, but any flag indicating fetishes or lifestyle choice.

Deputy Mayor Beth Jahn says flying the flags falls under the First Amendment of the Constitution.
