An NBA legend returned to his roots to take part in a basketball tournament.
NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal hosted a high school basketball tournament in Newark on Saturday.
O'Neal, who was raised in Newark, teamed up with Mayor Ras Baraka, who encouraged kids to follow their dreams.
"If sports is what it is, then we're going to support that and help you achieve your dreams this way," Baraka said.
O'Neal created the Cityplex Movie Theater in Newark's Central Ward. He is also helping build the city's first high-rise apartment building in 50 years.
