Severe thunderstorms on Friday cause damage across New Jersey

A line of storms barreled through New Jersey on Friday, causing downed trees, power outages and flight delays.

As thousands remain without power, the damage from Friday night's storm is becoming more clear.
In Colonia, a large tree that has fallen has caused 100 local customers to be without power, PSE&G estimates.
Local crews were hard at work for over four hours since the first call came in.
Multiple trees have also fallen in Bayonne. As a result, the Office of Emergency Management has warned residents not to approach any downed wires or trees.
Across the state, PSE&G initially reported nearly 9,000 customers were without power. According to JCP&L, nearly 17,000 customers were affected.
In Lawrence Township, multiple vehicles overturned as the storm made its way through.
At Newark Liberty International Airport, there have been more than 400 flights delayed and over 100 have been canceled.
