Severe thunderstorms leave thousands in the dark, disrupt flights and rail service

Thousands of people in New Jersey lost power after severe storms tore through parts of the state.  
PSE&G and JCP&L were still reporting several hundred customers without power as of Wednesday afternoon.
A ground stop was lifted Wednesday morning at airports across the tristate. However, there are still issues for flyers at Newark Liberty International Airport.
There are currently more than 40 delays and over 80 cancellations so far. Those numbers are expected to climb today.
Morris and Essex Line rail service has resumed service this morning between Hackettstown and Summit and is subject to up to 30 30-minute delays in both directions following downed trees in the overhead wires on Tuesday.
