Service resumes on Montclair-Boonton Line after tree cleared from tracks

The tree fell on the overhead wires near Glen Ridge Wednesday morning, according to New Jersey Transit.

Service has resumed on the Montclair-Boonton Line now that a fallen tree has been cleared from the tracks.
The tree fell on the overhead wires near Glen Ridge Wednesday morning, according to New Jersey Transit.
Rail service on the line was suspended for a time. Bus service was provided between Newark Board Street and Montclair State University.
The tree was cleared and service resumed just after 3 p.m. Some delays were expected.
Riders should be sure to check the NJ Transit website or app for the status of their train.
