An all-clear was given after security measures were increased at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst on Tuesday afternoon due to suspicious packages.

The base said that the packages were found on the installation around 3:30 p.m.

Security "immediately responded, secured the area, and determined the packages posed no threat."

"We are grateful for the quick and professional actions of our first responders whose vigilance helps keep our community safe every day," officials wrote in a Facebook post.

The all-clear was given around 4:30 p.m.
