Authorities in Mexico City captured the second of two Union County Jail escapees Wednesday.
Otis Blunt was apprehended by Mexican police, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. Details on Blunt's capture and extradition are not yet available. The other escapee, Jose Espinosa, was nabbed by federal and local authorities Tuesday only six blocks away from the correctional facility.
Blunt and Espinosa dug through a cement wall in the Union County Jail on Dec. 15. The two were able to conceal their escape route by covering the hole with pictures of scantily clad women.
The inmates left a note mocking prison guard Rudolph Zurick, thanking him for his "help" and wishing him a happy holiday. Zurick committed suicide Jan. 2.
