Police say a dog was found slashed and tied to a cross at a cemetery in Irvington Monday.
Authorities say this is the second abused dog found in as many weeks in Essex County. The dog was slashed around his head and neck.
Shelter officials from the Associate Humane Societies in Newark took in the abused dog.
