Dozens of Northern Valley Regional High School students were taken to the hospital after two school buses collided Monday afternoon on the Palisades Parkway in Ramapo, New York.
Police say one bus rear-ended the other around 2:15 p.m. near Exit 11 on the southbound parkway.
Forty to 60 students with injuries that are being described as minor were transported to Nyack Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital via ambulances and additional school buses.
A post on the Northern Valley Regional High School Demarest Facebook page stated the sophomore class had a class trip to Woodmont Day Camp in New York today. That camp is located close to the accident scene.
