NEW: Periods of heavy rain are in the cards Sunday with some areas seeing up to an inch or more through Monday, mainly in central and north Jersey.
NEXT: This unsettled, Florida-like pattern will continue into the workweek with showers expected through at least Wednesday.
OVERNIGHT: Spotty showers turning to fog. Muggy. Lows in the 60s.
SUNDAY: Fog, showers, and storms. Some periods of heavy rain. Warmer and muggy with highs in the 80s.
MONDAY: Mostly cloudy with a shower and storm chance. Highs in the 80s.
TUESDAY: Periods of rain. Highs around 80.
REST OF THE WEEK: Humid with shower chances, more sunshine as the week goes on. Highs around 80.
