Santa Claus did not need a sleigh as he made a special trip to the Garden State.
Santa boarded a New Jersey Transit train in Hoboken Friday where he was joined by less fortunate children or those with special needs for a journey along the Morris & Essex and Montclair-Boonton lines.
The annual Railmen For Children Santa Train has been organized by train conductors and engineers for the past three decades.
"So it's been an event that's been going on for a long, long time, and the volunteers are great and the children just love being on this train,” said NJ Transit executive director Steven Santoro.
Current and retired train conductors and engineers have volunteered their time for this event for over 30 years.
The children received presents during the trip.
