A Department of Sanitation truck was left mangled following a crash in Allerton, the FDNY says.
Emergency personnel responded to 2800 White Plains Road just before 5 p.m. Tuesday. Paramedics rushed one person to the hospital, according to fire officials.
Citizen app footage shows the truck with extensive damage, surrounded by debris.
DSNY tells us that two workers were injured in the collision. They were transported to Jacobi Hospital for their injuries.
“Our prayers are with the sanitation workers and families as we hope for a full recovery.” said a DSNY spokesperson.
