Towns and residents are struggling to find rock salt with this weekend’s expected winter storm approaching New Jersey.

Piscataway Mayor Brian Wahler showed News 12 how low the town’s supply of road salt is right now. Wahler says he believes more is available at the ports, but there is apparently a distribution issue that he is looking into.

Wahler says other towns are also struggling after using their supplies during recent nuisance storms. Many stores are also out of rock salt for homes and driveways.
