The New York Red Bulls are opening a new chapter in New Jersey with the debut of the RWJBarnabas Health Red Bulls Performance Center, a sprawling, state-of-the-art training complex designed to transform how players train, recover and develop.

The grand opening made an immediate impression, beginning with the Red Bull Air Force skydiving team delivering a ceremonial whistle — a symbolic start to what the organization is calling a new era for the club.

"This building is now marked; it's not just one of the best ones in North America," said Don Garber, the commissioner of Major League Soccer. "This rivals one of the best development cities of any football, soccer club in the world."

Located in Morris Township, the facility stretches across 80 acres and features eight soccer fields, creating a centralized hub for all levels of the organization.

The goal is to bring every part of the club under one roof — something team leaders say will strengthen development and create a clearer pathway to the professional level.

The interior of the complex is built around performance and player care. It includes a full-scale gym, locker rooms and hydrotherapy areas, along with an advanced medical and innovation suite focused on injury prevention, recovery and overall athlete health. The integration of sports science and technology allows staff to monitor player performance in real time and tailor training programs to individual needs.

The partnership with RWJBarnabas Health plays a major role in that effort, embedding medical expertise directly into the day-to-day training environment. The collaboration is aimed at improving not just recovery, but also long-term player wellness and durability throughout the season.

"This is where New Jersey's leading health system, and New Jersey's professional soccer team will set the benchmark for elite training and Player Health," said Mark Manigan, president and EOC of RWJBarnabas Health.

The facility also places a strong emphasis on nutrition and lifestyle. Players have access to a dining hall staffed by professional chefs, along with dedicated nutrition spaces designed to support performance through personalized meal planning. For younger athletes, academic areas are built into the complex, reinforcing the club’s focus on developing well-rounded players both on and off the field.

Beyond team operations, the center is expected to have a broader impact on soccer in the region. Officials say it will serve as a destination for high-level training, international teams and potential future events — helping position New Jersey as a key location in the global soccer landscape.

That spotlight is already arriving. With the FIFA World Cup approaching, Brazil’s national team is expected to train at the facility, bringing international attention to Morris Township and the surrounding area.

For the Red Bulls, the vision goes beyond a new building. The performance center is designed to unify training, recovery, education and innovation in one place — creating an environment where players at every level can grow and compete at the highest standard.
