RWJBarnabas Health announced Friday that it will implement masking protocols starting Oct. 2.
Masks will be required at all RWJBarnabas hospitals for patients, staff and visitors.
Officials cite the rise in respiratory illnesses and COVID-19 cases as the reason.
They also recommend that everyone get a COVID-19 vaccine.
