After over a year of construction, former Rutgers football player Eric LeGrand opened up a new coffeehouse in his hometown of Woodbridge on Saturday.
Coffee lovers were lined up down the block for the ribbon cutting of LeGrand Coffee House, including Rutgers Football coach Greg Schiano, Gov. Phil Murphy and first lady Tammy Murphy.
“I’m so thankful for all the support that the community truly shows me each and every day,” said owner Eric LeGrand.
During a 2010 game, an on-field injury left LeGrand mostly paralyzed. In the time since, LeGrand has become a tireless advocate for spinal cord research and a host of other charities.
