Roxbury police warn public about scam phone calls

The department says the callers identify themselves as a Roxbury police officer, claim that they have a warrant for the resident’s arrest and say they will be taken into custody if they do not give them money.

The department’s Facebook page stated that the callers identify themselves as a Roxbury police officer, claim that they have a warrant for the resident’s arrest and say they will be taken into custody if they do not give them money.

Roxbury police advise residents to hang up immediately if they receive one of those phone calls.
