Rowdy crowds shut down a community event in Camden County over the weekend.
It happened during the annual Summer Kickoff event at the Soccer Complex in Pennsauken on Saturday night.
Authorities from the Pennsauken Township Police Department say during the event, multiple large crowds formed outside of the community members who were trying to enjoy the event. They say the crowds became unruly which forced the event to be shut down.

  • Derek Berry, 18, of Pennsauken Township, was charged with disorderly conduct and failure to disperse.
Officers from neighboring Gloucester and Burlington counties assisted to help control the crowds.
