Rowdy crowds shut down Pennsauken community event; 6 people arrested

Four adults were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, and two minors were taken into custody.

Rowdy crowds shut down a community event in Camden County over the weekend.
It happened during the annual Summer Kickoff event at the Soccer Complex in Pennsauken on Saturday night.
Authorities from the Pennsauken Township Police Department say during the event, multiple large crowds formed outside of the community members who were trying to enjoy the event. They say the crowds became unruly which forced the event to be shut down.
Four adults were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, and two minors were taken into custody.
  • India Allen, 19, of Pennsauken Township, was charged with disorderly conduct and failure to disperse.
  • Yamilet Meina, 18, of Camden City, was charged with disorderly conduct and failure to disperse.
  • Damien Green, 20, of Pennsauken Township, was charged with disorderly conduct, failure to disperse and resisting arrest.
  • Derek Berry, 18, of Pennsauken Township, was charged with disorderly conduct and failure to disperse.
Officers from neighboring Gloucester and Burlington counties assisted to help control the crowds.
“This type of unruly behavior is not acceptable and will not be tolerated in Pennsauken Township,” police wrote in a public safety report posted on Facebook.
