A physical therapy business in Roselle is making some changes to safely reopen during the pandemic.
R Technique owner Dr. Aaliya Rasheed Washington says that the business provides clients with a "techniquely unique rehabilitation and sports performance experience."
“We make sure everyone gets what it is they need, so we’re constantly reevaluating,” Washington says.
This includes how to operate amid the coronavirus.
“What we did do initially and obviously going forward is just kind of slow down the numbers, so instead of it being maybe two, potentially two and a half per hour, now one person an hour,” she says.
The business is also focusing on sanitation.
“Everything is always clean, after its used. It’s cleaned, its disinfected,” says Washington. “We have hand sanitizer etcetera, around.”
Clients say that they are just trying to get back into shape.
“Sports are coming back – injury recovery, personal training…if you gained that quarantine 15 [pounds]. We are here for that as well,” Washington says.
R Technique is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Weekend hours are by appointment only.
