The hottest place to live could now be found in downtown Newark.
The Rock Lofts, opening in the shadow of Prudential Center in downtown Newark, offers keyless entry, elevators and wood floors.
Samer Hanini and his brother, Thafer, spent four years acquiring seven buildings on Market Street. Their company is designing 80 apartments over Market Street. The lofts, which are already 25 percent rented, are just minutes away from Newark's downtown office buildings and Newark Penn Station.
The project represents a $38 million investment in downtown Newark. Most of the new apartments at Rock Plaza rent between $1,500 to $2,000.
