The Rock Carnival is underway in Clark to celebrate the last weekend of summer in 2015.
The rock-and-roll-themed carnival brings big names in music to Union County -- like the guitarist Slash and the bands Stone Temple Pilots and Skid Row.
When asked why they went to such great lengths for an end-of-summer party, organizers asked, "Why not?"
"Rock 'n' roll royalty will hit stages in Oak Ridge Park the loudest way to say so long to summer," explained executive producer John D'Esposito.
There will also be dozens of cover bands, a beer garden and 50 food trucks at the carnival.
