Police are asking the public to help identify a robbery suspect accused of forcibly taking “play money” from a 10-year-old in Borough Park.

It happened on Christmas just before 6 p.m. on 42nd Street. The boy was unharmed.

Police say the man was wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants, a black hat and black sneakers.

Anyone who recognizes him is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.

Some Brooklynites sounded off about the bizarre crime.

“I mean I do think thieves should get karma, so I guess it’s a very immediate form of it," said Daniel Belyy, a Dyker Heights resident.

“How you not going to know what’s real money with fake money?" said Anthony Torres, a Sunset Park resident.
