A Bergen County stable is welcoming riders of all experience levels in Leonia.

The Bergen Equestrian Center at Indian Hills Farm is located inside Overpeck County Park and offers hands-on horseback experiences.

The 22-acre facility was established in 1974 and is now run by Anna Gassib.

Visitors can take part in year-round lessons, riding showcases, boarding, summer camps and birthday events.

The center is home to more than 75 horses and includes both indoor and outdoor riding rings.

Different arenas are used for equitation, jumping and dressage.

The center also offers “A Stable Life,” an equine-assisted wellness program focused on helping people build confidence and connect through working with horses.

Programs also serve veterans through grants and support services.

Staff say the goal is to create a place where riders of all skill levels can experience the benefits of being around animals and nature.
