Rite Aid is adding new COVID-19 testing sites to seven new drive-thru locations in New Jersey, New York, Michigan and Ohio.

Rite Aid is adding new COVID-19 testing sites to seven new drive-thru locations in New Jersey, New York, Michigan and Ohio.

The testing locations are opening today, where the nasal swab is used. The sites will be open for testing 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week. The New Jersey location is at 501 Clements Bridge Road in Barrington, Camden County.

Patients would administer the test themselves as a pharmacist talks them through the process. The tests are administered in the parking lots, with all patients remaining in their vehicles.

The sample is then returned, and sent to a lab for processing.
The company says it expects to perform about 200 tests each day per location. Rite Aid already has 12 testing sites open, and expects to open more in several states, including Ohio, Virginia, and Delaware.
