Amid federal corruption allegations, Ridgefield Mayor Anthony Suarez refuses to resign despite calls from Gov. Jon Corzine to do so.
Suarez was among 44 people arrested and changed with corruption in an FBI sting - including two other New Jersey mayors and local rabbis. Suarez arrived at work Sunday challenging Corzine to look into the borough's records.
"I didn't do anything wrong. I'm not resigning. If the governor wants to come in and look at the finances of the borough, I welcome that," Suarez says.
Mayor Dennis Elwell of Seacaus and Mayor Peter Cammarano of Hoboken both resigned, but maintain their innocence.
