New Jersey residents are trying to determine how they'll spend their economic stimulus checks when they come in the mail.
While plans range from the practical to the frivolous, many residents plan on spending their money on some necessities whose prices are shooting through the roof. Jennifer Favire, a new mother from Rahway, plans on shelling out her extra clams at the supermarket.
"With the twins obviously we go through a lot of milk," she says. "With the price of dairy going up, we are definitely going to stock up on the things we don't normally get in abundance."
Other residents plan on putting that money right into their gas tanks. Additional ideas include putting the money into college savings accounts.
One resident told News 12 New Jersey he wants to use the cash for a trip, just not to Atlantic City.
"I don't want to lose it real fast," says Rich Lemongelli of Edison.
