Clifton residents are trying to block efforts to bring a new McDonald's to the area.The fast-food chain wants to open a location at the current site of the Jubilee Park Diner on Allwood Road. According to NorthJersey.com, the wife of the diner?s owner says her husband may be willing to sell the diner due to poor health.Residents say they are against a McDonald's opening because of increased traffic, a lack of on-site parking and pedestrian safety issues.A traffic engineer and planner are expected to testify on behalf of McDonald's Wednesday at a Board of Adjustment hearing.
