8ds agoRepublican congressional candidate Tom Kean Jr. has conceded to Democratic incumbent Tom Malinowski in the race for the 7th District.
Nine days after Election Day, all the votes have been counted. Kean offered his congratulations to Malinowski in a statement released Thursday evening.
“The 1% margin between Rep. Malinowski and myself demonstrates the desire for strong leadership, but also for the need to find bipartisan solutions to the challenges facing our country right now. Our nation and the people of this Congressional district need to look forward,” Kean said.
The Republican said that he will continue a bipartisan partnership with Malinowski in his capacity as a state senator in New Jersey.
