A report released by a national child development group today has ranked New Jersey as the top state to raise kids.
The Foundation for Child Development, which put out its annual Child Well Being Index (CWI), ranked the Garden State as number one overall. The index uses several categories to produce a state-by-state comparison of quality of life for kids.
New Jersey ranked in the top 10 in five categories and was number one for social relationships. Seven categories were examined.
The study was based on statistics from 2007. Massachusetts came in second, while New Mexico came in last. Click Here to read the full report.
