Report: Fountains of Wayne band founder put on ventilator after contracting COVID-19
The founder of the New Jersey rock band Fountains of Wayne has been put on a ventilator after contracting COVID-19, according to a report by Deadline.
Adam Schlesinger, 52, is a native of Montclair and has reportedly been on a ventilator for two weeks since becoming infected with coronavirus.

The band, best known for its 2003 pop hit "Stacy's Mom," launched back in 1995.

Schlesinger released five albums with the group.
He is also a three-time Emmy winner, having worked in television, from "Sesame Street" to "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," and has written and produced for other bands
