The Repair Café Garden State held an event over the weekend in Jersey City.

People were invited to bring their broken objects to the Grace Church Van Vorst Gymnasium for the event.

Repairs ranged from bicycles, jewelry and small electronics. There were also sewing services.

"We help the community keep their objects out of the landfills. We do that by having our coaches, who are all volunteers, come in and teach people not only what's wrong with their items, but also how to fix it,” says Suzanne Burley, with Repair Café.

Those who missed the event may be happy to know more events are scheduled for September and November.
