The rate of transmission of coronavirus in New Jersey is back under one, officials say.

The number was above one last weekend. This means that on average, every person 'who's newly infected' is passing coronavirus to fewer than one person.
According to the state Department of Public Health, statewide, there are nearly 175,300 cases as the number of new positive cases is slowing down.
At least 15,541 people have died from the virus in the state. Over the weekend, the state announced 65 more deaths.
Over the past week, five days have seen new cases in the 300s. One day, Saturday, saw over 400 new cases.
Another day, one week ago, saw the number of new cases under 300.
