New Jersey saw wet and windy weather on Wednesday, but temperatures were much milder than they usually are for this time of year.
Gusty winds seemed to be the biggest issue of the day. News 12 New Jersey crews saw flags, trees and street signs swaying in the wind.
The rain did come down heavy at times. The storm drains in Atlantic Highlands were able to keep up.
Many New Jersey residents took the advice to stay indoors.
“It will dry up over the course of the evening,” said Gov. Phil Murphy. “Tomorrow it will remain blustery. No rain, but it will be blustery. So everyone watch your step.”
There were a few people that News 12 crews were able to find who braved the rain. They had varying opinions on if the rain was bad or not.
“Getting lunch and back to work…the rain is terrible,” says Enrique Lopez, of Woodbridge.
“Getting cat food and getting dog food. This is nothing – absolutely nothing,” says Mike Montandi, of Sea Bright.
The rain was expected to clear by Wednesday night. Gusty winds were expected to stick around into Thursday.
