A Queens man has pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide for a high‑speed crash on the Southern State Parkway in 2025 that killed his 21‑year‑old sister, Haily D’Souza, and 23‑year‑old Crystal Alba‑Figueroa, according to Nassau District Attorney Anne Donnelly.

Jaden D’Souza, 20, admitted he was high on marijuana and driving 123 mph when he lost control of his 2016 Dodge Dart near Exit 30. The vehicle overturned after hitting a tree, killing both women and seriously injuring a 23‑year‑old male passenger.

Investigators recovered multiple cannabis products at the scene, and a blood test taken the night of the crash showed a high level of THC. The impact also sent a spare tire into another vehicle, injuring that driver.

D’Souza pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide, manslaughter, assault, and driving while impaired by drugs. He is due back in court May 8, and is expected to be sentenced to 7 to 18 years in prison.
