PSE&G is warning residents across New Jersey of a spoofing scam where scammers are using one of the electric company's phone numbers to try to get your information.
The electric company says the scammers pretend to work for the company and may request personal information like credit cards or account passwords. PSE&G warns not to give out that information.
PSE&G says it will never demand a specific type of payment nor would it threaten immediate service termination.
If you fall victim to one of these calls, you can file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.
