An elementary school teacher is facing child pornography charges in New Jersey.
Prosecutors say bail was set Monday at $50,000 cash for Nicholas Schumacher, a 29-year-old Randolph resident who teaches at an elementary school in Bloomfield. He's facing two counts of child endangerment for allegedly possessing and distributing child porn.
Authorities say the charge culminated an investigation that began when prosecutors received information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Prosecutors say Schumacher allegedly accessed the images and videos from computers at his home and workplace.
A telephone number for Schumacher could not be located Monday night, and it was not known if he had retained an attorney.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Sex Crimes and Child Endangerment Unit of the Morris County Prosecutor's Office at 973-285-6200.
