A pedestrian was fatally struck by a car Friday night in Clifton, officials say.

The driver of a Honda Civic crashed into the victim in the area of Lakeview Avenue between East Fourth and Fifth Streets at around 8 p.m., according to prosecutors.

They say the driver remained at the scene.

The victim has been identified as Galia Bacheva, 64, of Clifton.

Prosecutors say they expect to release more information at a later time.
