Prosecutors: Bayonne woman struck, killed on Route 46 in Parsippany

A 73-year-old woman was struck and killed Monday while trying to cross a busy street in Parsippany, according to Morris County prosecutors.
Authorities say a Jeep Grand Cherokee hit Sonia Diaz, of Bayonne, while she attempted to cross Route 46 West at North Beverwyck Road at 11 a.m. The driver then collided with a Kia Forte.
Prosecutors say both drivers remained at the scene. No summonses have been issued.
The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by the Parsippany Police Department and the Morris County Sheriff's Office.
