A 78-year-old Edison man has been charged in connection with a deadly hit-and-run in Clark Township last month.
The Union County Prosecutor’s Office says that Edison resident Thiruvenk Srinivasan struck and killed 82-year-old James Leinbach near Raritan Road and Clarkton Drive on Oct. 20. Leinbach died at the scene. Srinivasan allegedly drove away from the area after the crash.
Srinivasan was arrested Thursday morning. He was charged with one count of second-degree leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
