A 38-year-old woman was found bludgeoned to death inside of her home in Mount Laurel.
The Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office and Mount Laurel Police Department are investigating.
Melissa Malcolm's body was found in her bed Wednesday afternoon after police officers entered her home during a wellness check. Malcolm did not show up to work and her co-workers became worried.
Authorities say that they have taken a person of interest into custody.
Andrew Kramer, 21, was acquainted with Malcolm. Officials say that Kramer allegedly used her debit card to withdraw money from ATMs at a few convenience stores. He was also allegedly driving Malcolm's silver 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Kramer was arrested in Philadelphia after allegedly approaching a man at gunpoint and demanding a ride.
He is facing charges for allegedly using Malcolm’s debit card and stealing her car. Officials say that no murder charges have been filed.
