Authorities say a family of four died in an apparent murder-suicide at a Plainsboro home.
Officials on Thursday afternoon released their identities. Tej Pratap Singh, 43, and Sonal Parihar, 42, have been identified as the husband and wife found inside the home on Titus Lane.
Police also found the bodies of their two children, a 10-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl.
The children attended two different schools. One attended the Wicoff School. The other was taking classes at the Millstone River School.
Neighbors tell News 12 they seemed to be a happy and loving family. The children were often seen outside playing with their parents.
Police were called to the house on Wednesday afternoon to perform a welfare check. That’s when Plainsboro police discovered all four bodies.
The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office says that autopsy results are pending. Those examinations will provide a cause of death.
It is not yet clear what may have sparked this violence.
Officials are asking anyone who might have information or surveillance footage of the area to call Detective Will Atkinson of the Plainsboro Police Department at 609-799-2333 or Detective Javier Morillo at the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office at 732-745-8843.
